The key to Locking is to have fun! So this workshop will make sure you have a smile on your face. We will cover the foundations and techniques of Locking, the groove (funk) behind it and the basic steps, from which you can build your own style and expression to be able to freestyle. You will then learn a fun choreography with a combination of all the basic steps. The whole class will be to funk music, perfect to lift your spirits! If you’ve never danced Locking before, this is the perfect chance to explore an entire new type of movement for your body. If you are a street dancer, this workshop will give you new inputs and insights to grow your style!

I look forward to bringing you some funky moves straight from California, where I learnt this amazing style years ago, and where this style was born. I can’t wait to share it all with you and have fun together!

OM UNDERVISEREN
Flavia started dancing from a young age in Rome, her hometown. She then trained in LA and NY for over a year and moved to London. Here she started performing in several Michael Jackson tribute shows (MJ is her biggest inspiration), TV shows, theaters, festivals, corporate events, etc. She became part of a street dance crew, performing in competitions and several shows, as well as a contemporary dance company, performing all over the UK. She has been teaching classes and workshops for many years in Italy, US, UK, Brazil and Denmark.
