✨ Join the amazing lambada vibes! We are thrilled to introduce even more Lambada in Aarhus Zoukforening this autumn!✨

Did you know that Lambada is the mother of Zouk? While Zouk evolved from Lambada and spread globally, Lambada never disappeared. Instead, it continued to grow and transform. Today, Zouk and Lambada are more connected than ever, often danced side by side at festivals by the same passionate dancers.

💃 There is an overlap between zouk and lambada in terms of music, which means that usually in the Tuesday Zouk Lounge, you will hear some songs that are great for Lambada – so you can keep using what you’ve learned in this course!

SO, WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN THIS AUTUMN?
* Lambada intro/brush-up day –
Sunday August 17th
* Weekly lambada classes – Tuesdays, September 9th to November 4th (9 weeks)
* Lambada weekender – November 28th to 30th

************** INTRO/BRUSH-UP DAY **************
PREREQUISITES
You do not need to know any lambada or zouk, nor do you need to be a member of Aarhus Zoukforening to join the into/brush-up day. But you do need to have experience in some other social dance like salsa, bachata, kizomba, zouk, tango etc.

CONTENT
This is for you if you 1) want to join the weekly classes but don’t know any lambada or 2) you just want a taste of lambada. It’s your chance to get up to speed with the basics of lambada in one day. We’ll start from scratch and get you going! If you are new to lambada, you’ll need to join this into/brush-up day in order to join the weekly classes.

Sunday August 17th. The location is Fritidscenter Skovvang – Skovvangsvej 127, 8200 Aarhus N.

************** THE WEEKLY CLASSES **************
PREREQUISITES
If you’ve attended the into/brush-up day, you can join! In order to join the course without joining the brush-up day, you must be familiar with the following lambada structures:
* soltinho (in lambada, not just in zouk)
* boneca (without headmovements is ok)
* chicote
* double turns

CONTENT
We’re going to build on the things mentioned above (soltinho, boneca, chicote, double turns), which you have either learned on the intro/brush-up day or elsewhere. We’ll strengthen the foundations and play with exciting possibilities and variations!

WHEN AND WHERE?
Nine consecutive Tuesdays 17:30-18:50. The first time is 9/9 and the last time is 4/11. The location is “Folkestedet” – Carl Blochs Gade 28, 8000 Aarhus C.

PRICE
450 DKK (+ membership of Aarhus Zoukforening which costs 100 DKK/year).

Registration will open on Wednesday the 9th of July at 8PM. the deadline for registration is 10th of August for the intro/brush-up day and August 19th for the weekly classes. Registration is individual, not in couples.
